Apple announced that it is releasing the iPhone. I have one thing to say. I WANT IT. It looks so cool. There are no buttons to make it look like a phone. Everything is based on the touch screen, and in genuine Apple style, it is intuitive. Even a retard like me should be able to figure it out. Hell, looks like my mom will be able to use it as well.

Besides the phone, you can listen to all your music, watch videos, browse pictures, and browse the web using a full fledge web browser and Wi-Fi. Yes wireless 802.11b/g networks. I know i sound like a fan boy, but this phone looks soooooo cool.

Look at the demo on the official site:
http://www.apple.com/iphone

Here is the link to the Engadget site where they describe the phone and how to use it:

My friend Byron was able to get the Nintendo Wii from Target during lunch. I asked him to pick one up for me, but they only allowed him to pick up one. Oh well. I guess I’ll have to wait. Damn him. I WANT A WII!!!!

I really wanted to get one and play it. I keep hearing about how much fun it is to play, and I hear a lot of stories about people throwing the controllers while playing. If you havn’t guessed, they are throwing it because they get so into the game with the motion sensing controller, not because they are angry. They even have a site about people doing this (http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com).

I’ve been reading some news on the next gen consoles, and it looks like Sony is not doing so well in the public’s eye. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. I mean, they announced a price of 600 smackers for their system. One thing that did surprise me is just how much support Nintendo has. Here is an excerpt from an article in Playfuls.com:

For example, a post-E3 poll organized by Famitsu, the ultimate gaming magazine in Japan revealed something no one would suspect: Nintendo Wii tops Sony Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 in customers’ preferences. The big question was, “What gaming hardware are you looking forward to the most?” The Nintendo Wii did three times better than its closest competition. Wii: 68.8%, PS3: 21%, Xbox 360: 7.2%, and NDS: 3%.

As for the price of the future PS3, 88.4% said the price is too high, 10.9% said the price is appropriate and only 0.7% said the console is inexpensive. And just think that this is a poll from one of the world’s richest countries and the traditional dominant market for Sony Playstation… Not to mention that the popular PlayStation Portable didn’t even managed to appear in the top.

With Sony concentrating on how great their hardware is, they have forgotten that games are about having fun. When I get a gaming system, I want to play good games on it. I don’t need it to shoot laser beems out of it or anything like that. I would love to play some of the exclusive Sony games like Metal Gear Sold 4 and Final Fantasy XIII, but I don’t want to pay $600 to do so. Why spend all that money when I can have fun with the Wii for a fraction of the PS3’s price.

You can check out the whole article at Playfuls.com.

I’m not a huge gaming fan, but I do like to play a few games here and there. I have the PlayStation 2, and I’m a Final Fantasy fanatic. Maybe not to the same extent as my friend, who gets a stiffee thinking about Spiderman, but I do like it enough to be crazy about it.

Originally, I wanted to get the PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII. Then I heard how much the PS3 cost, I figured I wouldn’t buy a next gen console. Xbox 360 doesn’t have any games I want to play, and the PS3’s too expensive. I didn’t even think about Nintendo.

Then I saw some clips from E3 about the Nintendo Wii, and that got me a excited, like a fanboy meeting his “hero.” It seemed like a lot of fun. Swinging the controller to play tenis, or holding both parts of the controller like a bow and arrow. When they announced the price at $250, I wanted one. It looks fun and its’ cheap. The problem was third party support. I didnt’ just want to play Mario on the new system. Now, even this doesn’t seem like a big problem. Companies seem to like the controller. The latest to join the Nintendo camp? EA.
